Our client is a premier heavy-haulage and freight service provider in Western Australia, specialising in safely transporting oversized, overweight, and complex loads.
About the role
This role involves hands-on servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs across a diverse truck fleet.
Duties
Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and general repairs on a company owned fleet of trucks
Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs using Tech Tool and other diagnostic systems.
Complete clutch and brake replacements, component changeouts, and other mechanical repairs (no engine rebuilds).
Ensure repair and maintenance jobs are completed efficiently within set timeframes.
Maintain accurate service and repair records, including use of workshop systems and diagnostic tools.
Assist in supervising and supporting apprentices within the workshop.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
Communicate effectively with management on repair progress, timelines, and any additional work required.
Skills and experience
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification).
Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience as a truck mechanic, ideally within a dealership or fleet workshop environment.
Strong hands-on experience with trucks
Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills, particularly with electrical and mechanical systems.
Competency in clutch and brake replacements, general servicing, and mechanical changeouts.
Strong time-management skills – ability to complete jobs on schedule without overrun.
Good communication and teamwork skills; able to work alongside a head mechanic and apprentices.
Must be based within reasonable distance to the site (no visa sponsorship available at this stage).
Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, required.
Current driver's licence (truck licence highly regarded).

Excellent salary up to $60ph depending on experience
Minimum 40 hours per week with overtime paid at 1.5x
Regular hours from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, additional hours paid as overtime
