The role

Discovery Parks – Argylla is located in Mt Isa, a well‑serviced regional centre in Northwest Queensland that supports tourism, mining and long‑stay travellers. The park is a high‑performing, well‑established tourist park with 30 cabins and 50 sites, delivering strong commercial results and a consistently positive guest experience.

This park is known as a stable, reliable operation, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys hands‑on park management. You will lead a small, close‑knit team, oversee day‑to‑day operations, and take pride in maintaining high standards across guest service, presentation and safety in a rewarding regional environment.

What You Will Be Doing

Overseeing daily park operations and ensuring smooth, efficient runningDelivering a welcoming, consistent guest experienceLeading, supporting and rostering a small team across reception, housekeeping and groundsManaging recruitment and attendance in a regional environmentMaintaining high standards of park presentation, safety and complianceManaging budgets, reporting and overall park performanceBuilding positive relationships with guests and the local community

What You Will Need

Previous Park Manager experience (essential)Strong understanding of regional and small‑community workforce challengesA hands‑on leadership style and strong people management skillsAbility to manage absenteeism and performance confidently and fairlyExcellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skillsFinancial and commercial management experienceWillingness to live onsite as part of the roleA valid driver’s licence

Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance for criminal records. Additionally, a valid Working with Children's Check specific to the state is required.

This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
