**Savanna **is currently looking for an experienced **Rig Superintendent** to join our Saxon Energy Services Australia Team. Based in our Saxon Toowoomba Office.
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Rig Superintendent is responsible for serving as the front-line manager of the rig. The Rig Superintendent assists the Operations Support Manager in making the rig a profitable and performance-independent unit while delivering products and services to customers.
Is responsible for overseeing the Health, Safety and Environmental, performance of the operating Rig / Plant and supporting Rig Managers on Saxon Australia's Well Servicing Rigs

You will be an experienced Rig Superintendent, with a minimum of 5 years' experience within the Oil & Gas Drilling Industry. You will have highly developed supervisory and people management skills driven by a strong focus on health & safety. Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management and human resource principles and practices
**What you'll be doing**:
- Primarily, you will be responsible for:
- Operational quality and health, safety and environment (HSE) related critical activities and management system matters. Participate in induction briefings.
- Mentor Rig Managers as required and supporting Rig Manager and Crews
- All day-to-day operational activities
- Maintain the safety and integrity of the rig, including asset management and maintenance.
- Ensure crew competencies and critical training certifications are up to date.
- Ensure smooth crew changes, with fully qualified crew continuously on location.
- Review drilling, work over and completion programs.
- Be familiar with the technical support request procedure and know when to contact the Technical Support department.
- Follow up on well operations and assist customers in the prompt resolution of down hole or well construction problems.
- Lead incentive drilling and operations by making the targets clear to all, monitoring results and adopting ways to improve performance.
