Your Role
Working with other specialist technicians, you’ll play an key role in your unit, diagnosing problems and faults, and maintaining and repairing Army equipment. You’ll help maintain fleets of commercial and domestic refrigeration equipment, air conditioning equipment, low, medium and high-capacity field generation systems (including specialist generation systems), and various portable and non-portable electrical appliances.

On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least: $240/day tax-free.
Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.
Eligibility:
For this role, you must:
- Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics

- Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You’ll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don’t worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare
- Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
- You’ll need to be a qualified Electrical Technician having completed an approved apprenticeship or approved traineeship at a recognised institution, as well the full-time employment requirement for that trade
