This is not your typical BDM role. You'll own and grow a mixed portfolio across Tier 1–Tier 3 customers, focused on our earthmoving and compaction product range. Covering Newcastle through to Coffs Harbour, this role blends strategic account management with new business development. One day you're in the boardroom with senior stakeholders, the next you're onsite working through solutions with operational teams. If you know this product category and can operate at both ends of the customer spectrum, you'll do well here.
About the Role
You'll drive growth across a defined territory and customer portfolio, balancing relationship depth with new opportunity creation.
* Managing and growing a diverse portfolio (Tier 1–Tier 3 accounts)
* Driving new business across earthmoving & compaction solutions
* Building relationships from site level through to C-suite
* Delivering commercial, solution-led proposals and presentations
* Growing wallet share across existing customers
* Developing and executing structured account growth plans
* Managing a strong pipeline across the Newcastle to Coffs region
* Regular travel across the territory to stay close to customers
* Partnering with operations to ensure delivery matches promise
* Maintaining strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy
About You
You're commercially sharp, technically credible, and comfortable in steel caps or a boardroom.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience in BDM or major account management roles
* Strong background in earthmoving, compaction or similar equipment
* Ability to engage both C-suite stakeholders and site-based teams
* A track record of growing accounts and winning new business
* Technical product understanding or hands-on industry experience
* Confidence leading high-level commercial conversations
* A practical, solutions-first approach (not just chasing transactions)
