Hudson Executive partners with a highly regarded, privately owned property and investment group with a strong track record of growth and innovation. The group operates a multi‑entity structure and is currently undertaking several strategic projects, and is seeking a Group Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function and partner with senior leadership to drive results.
The Group Financial Controller will report directly to the CEO and CFO, leading a finance team, managing group‑level reporting and compliance, and playing a key role in capital initiatives, banking relationships and strategic decision‑making.
Responsibilities
* Group financial reporting and month‑end close across multiple entities
* Consolidation of accounts, analysis and executive‑level commentary
* Cash‑flow management, forecasting and funding oversight
* Management of banking relationships and authorisation of payments
* Liaison with Big‑4 tax agents on compliance (income tax, GST, payroll tax, land tax)
* Hands‑on leadership of finance staff, systems and reporting processes
* Lead interface with auditors and ensure audit readiness
* Leverage Pronto ERP to streamline reporting and control functions
* Drive special projects – from capital raising and due diligence to restructuring initiatives
Qualifications
* CA / CPA qualification with proven experience leading a group finance function in a complex multi‑entity environment
* Technical depth, commercial acumen and communication skills to influence at executive level
* Familiarity with Pronto ERP is highly valued
* Experience in property, investment or capital‑intensive sectors
