Platform Engineers – NV-2 to TSPV (Expression of Interest)
Position based in Australia, requiring Australian citizenship and an active NV‐2 security clearance with potential for elevation to TSPV.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure platforms that support advanced national security technology solutions.
* Design, integrate, and validate complex tenant environments tailored to specific use cases.
* Develop and deploy infrastructure‐as‐code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools.
* Automate configuration, provisioning, and system management to achieve reliability and repeatability.
* Operate and monitor infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and security.
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage releases, and enable continuous delivery of applications and services.
* Embed security best practices, including secrets management, access control, and compliance automation.
* Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
* Collaborate closely with architects, engineers across disciplines, and threat‐intelligence partners.
Typical Weekly Activities
* Design & Build – assist in scalable platform design and implementation.
* Automation & Scripting – develop scripts and IaC for provisioning, configuration, and management.
* Platform Operations – monitor, maintain, and optimise infrastructure.
* Deployment & Delivery – support CI/CD pipelines and application releases.
* Security & Compliance – integrate security practices into workflows.
* Documentation – produce and update technical documentation.
* Collaboration – work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver platform improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
* Experience designing, building, and supporting complex IT infrastructure platforms.
* Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and automation methodologies.
* Strong understanding of networking, system integration, cloud‐native services, and hybrid/multi‐cloud architecture.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Australian citizenship and a current NV‐2 security clearance.
