We are currently seeking up to 4 Laboratory / Metallurgical Technicians to support a gold processing operation in Western Australia on a 3-month contract.
These roles have been created to assist with increased plant sampling and diagnostic work following the commissioning of a new leach tank circuit within the processing plant. Successful candidates will work alongside the site metallurgical team and report to the Senior Metallurgists.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct plant sampling across the processing circuit
Perform sample preparation and laboratory test work
Carry out bottle roll tests, screen sizing and batch flotation tests
Assist with on-site laboratory analysis and metallurgical test work
Potential involvement in routine instrument servicing and maintenance (e.g. cyanide analysers, pH and dissolved oxygen probes).
Ideal background:
Previous laboratory or metallurgical technician experience in a processing plant
Strong background in plant sampling and laboratory sample preparation
Experience with metallurgical test work highly regarded
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced gold processing environment.
