Design Australia Group is a nationally recognised residential building design firm working directly with volume home builders across Australia. We operate at scale, with structure, clear systems, and strong standards — because that's what builder-facing work demands.
We're looking for a Junior Building Designer who already has a foundation and wants to build real capability fast inside a structured, high-output environment.

The Role (What You'll Actually Be Doing)
You'll support our design and documentation team across live residential builder projects, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and momentum.
This role exists to develop strong designers through real output, not observation.
You will:
* Produce and update residential documentation in ArchiCAD.
* Assist with concept, preliminary, and working drawings.
* Apply mark-ups, revisions, and variations accurately.
* Work within established templates, SOPs, and QA checklists.
* Support document control and version discipline.
* Coordinate internally with designers, admin, and operations.
* Flag missing information or clashes early — before they become rework.
This is a role for someone who wants clear expectations, structured learning, and measurable growth.

What We're Looking For
Experience
* Typically 1–3 years' experience in residential building design or drafting.
* Exposure to builder-facing or production-style documentation preferred.
* Comfortable working to deadlines within repeatable workflows.
Capability
* ArchiCAD proficiency (non-negotiable).
* Solid understanding of residential plans, sections, elevations, and schedules.
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn fast.
* Able to take feedback and apply it immediately.
Style
* Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
