Job Description

What we're looking for

Are you passionate about geospatial technologies and ready to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a motivated Aircraft/UAV LiDAR & Imagery Specialist to support our expanding portfolio of aerial surveying projects. If you enjoy working with advanced remote‐sensing technology and producing high‐quality spatial datasets, this role offers the perfect opportunity.

As an Airborne LiDAR & Imagery Specialist, you will play a key role in acquiring, processing, and delivering industry‐leading airborne data products. Working with state‐of‐the‐art sensors and flight‐planning systems, you'll contribute to a broad range of projects including infrastructure mapping, environmental monitoring, terrain modelling, and high‐resolution digital imagery.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and is keen to expand their skills within a supportive and growing team.

* Conduct airborne LiDAR and imagery missions using fixed‐wing and/or UAV platforms.
* Execute flight planning, sensor calibration, and mission configuration.
* Process and adjust airborne LiDAR point clouds and generate derived spatial products.
* Convert, edit and produce aerial imagery including orthophotos, digital elevation models, multispectral datasets and reality mesh models.
* Maintain data accuracy through robust QA/QC workflows and metadata standards.
* Collaborate with project managers, survey teams, and data processors to ensure timely, high‐quality deliverables.
* Review and assess emerging technologies to promote spatial intelligence and effective delivery workflows.

What we offer

* Access to modern airborne remote‐sensing technology and cutting‐edge workflows.
* Opportunities for career progression across collection, processing, Quality Assurance and technical leadership.
* Supportive team culture and real project variety across Australia.
* Competitive salary and flexible working arrangements.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you bring to the table

We encourage candidates from a range of backgrounds, including those with experience in:

* Airborne LiDAR systems (e.g., RIEGL, Leica, Teledyne, Optech) and/or aerial camera platforms.
* Competency in LiDAR and imagery processing software (e.g., Riegl software, Bentley Microstation, TerraSolid Suite, LAStools, Global Mapper, Pix4D, Metashape).
* Understanding of coordinate systems, GNSS/IMU workflows, and aerial survey principles.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently within project timelines and contribute within a team environment.
* Aviation or remote‐sensing field experience (desirable).
* Processing skills in Python or similar (desirable).

If you're passionate about airborne data capture and excited by the opportunity to work with advanced geospatial technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
