About your opportunity As Clinical Coding Quality Coordinator, you will lead the development and delivery of education programs to improve coding accuracy and documentation quality.
You will partner with auditors and clinicians to optimise funding outcomes and support high standards of patient care.
How you will be assessed Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in clinical coding using ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS, AR-DRG and AN-SNAP.
Demonstrated high-level knowledge of ABF, including the direct relationship and interdependency of high-quality clinical documentation to support accurate financial reimbursement for care provision.
Demonstrated exceptional written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and maintain effective relationships across all levels of staff.
Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain quality management strategies and best practice initiatives in clinical coding and health information management that support quality and timely business decisions.
Proven ability to identify, plan, develop, deliver and evaluate training and education in scenarios ranging from one-on-one sessions to large group presentations.
Requirements Whilst not mandatory, the following qualifications would be highly regarded: Diploma in Clinical Coding (or equivalent) Bachelor of Health Information management (or equivalent) Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
