Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICT Infrastructure Operations Team Lead to oversee the delivery, integration, and sustainment of secure, high-performance ICT systems in support of Australian Defence Force mission planning capability.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing both the technical direction and day-to-day operations of network and server environments across fixed and deployed Defence contexts.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of technicians in the development, integration, and sustainment of software, hardware, data, tools, and processes for ADF mission planning systems in fixed and deployed environments.
* Conduct performance reviews, set team objectives, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture
* Oversee the maintenance of physical server and networking hardware, ensuring high availability and performance
* Manage the development and maintenance of system configurations for MPS laptops and servers
* Coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates
* Provide technical leadership for resolving data support issues and ensuring mission systems meet operational requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Defence ICT environments (including Defence Protected Environment (DPE) and Defence Secret Environment (DSE)
* MS Windows Imaging
* MS Windows security
* MS Windows Server Platforms
* Technical/Admin level experience with client operating systems from MS Windows 10 – 11
* MS Windows Office products
* Software Scripting
* Defence ICT Security Accreditation requirements
