Personal Assistant to Manager, Public Health Organising
5 Weeks Temporary Full-Time (19th June - 24th July, 2026), Based in Waterloo
Base salary $114,213.31 per annum + super
(Restricted to Internal Applicants Only)
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Manager, PHO and PHO team
* Coordinate PHO team administration and manage files and records
* Assist with diary and email management, including monitoring and actioning correspondence
* Prepare agendas, take minutes and distribute meeting documentation
* Ensure the Manager, PHO has all required papers and documentation for meetings
* Assist with internal and external meeting coordination
* Edit, collate and proofread monthly Council reports, bi-monthly Committee of Delegates reports, and assist with the Annual Conference report
* Arrange travel and accommodation as required
* Proofread correspondence prior to signature
* Assist with leave forms and expense accounts
* Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you require:
* Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher
* Proven organisational, administrative and communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to proofread and edit documents accurately for spelling, grammar and clarity
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly and professionally
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
