Your new role
This dynamic area of work is seeking an EL1 Communications and Stakeholder Engagement professional. Your duties and responsibilities include the following:
* Lead, develop and implement strategic communications across the department.
* Creating engaging communication tools for the Department.
* Building and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Contribute to change management and assist in supporting required business areas.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience leading strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities in a complex government or international policy environment.
* Proven ability to guide and mentor staff while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
* Strong strategic judgement, with the ability to anticipate issues and deliver clear, well‑considered communication advice to senior leaders.
* Exceptional writing skills with the ability to take complex information and translate into a strategic plan to align with the Department.
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across diverse internal and external partners.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an attractive hourly rate for a 12-month period with an option to extend.
