About the Role

Join our close-knit Physiotherapy team in the beautiful New England Tablelands and step into a unique and impactful role as the region's dedicated Paediatric Physiotherapist. You will act as the key point of contact for paediatric referrals, while also providing expert clinical support to physiotherapists across surrounding communities including Inverell, Glen Innes and Tenterfield.

This diverse and rewarding role will see you:

* Deliver high-quality paediatric physiotherapy services across a varied caseload
* Provide consultation, mentoring and clinical guidance to clinicians at outlying sites
* Work collaboratively with Child & Family Health Nurses, Paediatricians, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and other key stakeholders
* Practice with a high level of autonomy while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary team
* Build strong, trusting relationships with families and community partners to support optimal child development

You'll be supported to continue developing your expertise, with access to a range of professional development opportunities including webinars, face-to-face training and supported visits to paediatric services at John Hunter Hospital as required.

About You

You are an experienced paediatric physiotherapist who enjoys the variety and connection that rural practice offers. You bring a culturally responsive, family-centred approach and are motivated by making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

You will also bring:

* A strong understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and Refugee communities
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in complex clinical environments
* Confidence supervising students and supporting early-career clinicians
* Advanced skills in complex paediatric casting
* Broad experience across paediatric musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological presentations
* Well-developed networking skills to build effective partnerships with families, services and community organisations

Essential Requirements

* Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist

o Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions. If your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive. Please note: the increased RHWIS allowance is approved until 30th June 2026. Commencement after this date may be subject to change, including the allowance amount for which the candidate may be eligible.
