The opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Marketing Executive to support Design & Build Week, one of Australia’s leading built environment event portfolios.
The Marketing Executive owns day-to-day delivery across email, SMS, social, partner marketing, websites and reporting, and supports on-site event delivery.
The role suits someone with early B2B or trade marketing experience who is confident in execution, comfortable working at pace, and keen to build deeper campaign ownership over time.
Core responsibilities
Email & SMS marketing
* Build and deploy eDMs
* Manage SMS scheduling and deployment in line with campaign plans
* Ensure accuracy, strong CTA discipline, and delivery against timelines
Social media & community management
* Plan, create, schedule and publish content across all the brands
* Proactively manage community engagement (comments, DMs, replies)
Content creation & design
* Adapt marketing assets using approved templates, including social media, email, other promotional materials
* Work within brand guidelines to ensure consistency across portfolios
Partnerships & exhibitor marketing
* Lead on exhibitor, sponsor and partner marketing activity
* Execute contracted sponsorship and partner deliverables
* Manage speaker and special guest promotions
* Build effective working relationships with exhibitors, partners and agencies
Website management
* Maintain and update event websites to ensure content accuracy and relevance
* Support website redesigns and rebrands as required
Customer & stakeholder enquiries
* Manage marketing inboxes
* Act as the first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries
* Ensure timely, professional and brand-appropriate responses
Data management & reporting
* Clean, manage and maintain marketing databases
* Track, analyse and report on campaign performance
* Maintain tracking files and contribute to campaign reporting
Marketing administration
* Update marketing documents and internal trackers
* Manage event listings across external platforms
* Provide general marketing administration support to the portfolio
On-site event delivery
* Support on-site marketing activity during events as required
Other
* Assist with additional duties as directed by the Head of Marketing
About you
* 2–3 years’ experience in marketing (B2B or events exposure preferred)
* Strong execution capability across email, digital and campaign delivery
* Comfortable managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Confident written communication and stakeholder management
* Proactive, reliable and increasingly independent
* Commercially aware with a willingness to learn and improve
Development & progression
This role has scope to expand as capability and confidence grow, including increased ownership of campaigns and partner activity. Progression is based on demonstrated capability and sustained performance, not tenure alone.
