About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients living in their own communities. Your primary objective will be to provide personalized care and support, empowering them to maintain their independence.
* You will spend a significant amount of time on the road, visiting clients at their homes and engaging with them on a one-to-one basis. This will involve supporting daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
* In addition to providing in-home personal care, you will assist clients with daily living tasks, including showering, dressing, and using the bathroom. You may also be required to prepare meals, clean the house, do laundry, and iron clothes.
* Your role will also involve working in accordance with individualized care plans, which have been tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
* You will support clients in participating in community-based recreational and social activities, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
* You may also be required to transport clients to appointments, shopping trips, and other engagements, ensuring their safe and comfortable travel.

Requirements
* Diploma or Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 1 year experience working in a similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid driver's license
