About the Role
Our client, a well‑known WA State government organisation, is seeking a Project Officer – Financial Reporting to join their Fremantle team for a 3‑month temporary contract, potentially extendable to 30th June 2026.
Candidate Requirements
* 1–2 years of Power BI experience.
* Project management experience with relevant certifications.
* Financial acumen with critical reasoning and strong problem‑solving skills.
* Strong report‑writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Data analysis/intelligence gathering: examine financial reports to identify key trends and explain differences between planned and actual costs.
* Support coordination and delivery: help prepare and run project meetings, ensuring all financial information is ready and distributed.
* Develop reporting tools: create and update templates and dashboards (e.g., in Excel or a reporting system) for consistent financial tracking.
* Accurate reporting: produce reliable monthly financial reports that clearly show the project's financial status and future needs.
* Process improvement: identify ways to streamline financial reporting tasks and suggest changes.
* Administrative tasks: organize and file all project financial documents (budgets, invoices, approvals) for easy access and audits.
