Job Description
About the Role:
MPK is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our Information, Systems and Technology (IS&T) Team based out of the Brisbane Support Office. Reporting to the Group Manager - IS&T.
Main Duties include:
* Cyber Security Leadership and Management
* Developing and overseeing the organisation's cyber security program and ensuring compliance with cyber security policies, standards, regulations, legislation and contractual requirements.
* Working through a team of technical SMEs to ensure the security of company networks, systems, and data.
* Monitoring security systems, conducting risk assessments, and identifying vulnerabilities and security risks.
* Overseeing incident detection and response processes, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of security breaches.
* Collaborating with IT, legal, and business teams to integrate security measures into operational processes.
* Conducting data security training and awareness programs to promote a security-first culture across the organisation.
* Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience & knowledge/skills:
* Tertiary qualification in cyber security, information technology or related field.
* Hold at least one industry certification of CISSP, CISM, CRISC
* Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in management or leading teams.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security or other related technical fields, such as systems and networks.
* Experience with Trend Micro and Mimecast products desirable but not essential
* Strong knowledge of information security principles, risk management, and incident response.
* Strong understanding of information security best practices and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0, Essential 8, ISM).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
