Port Pirie Child Care Centre Inc. is a well- established, community-based, not-for-profit early childhood service committed to providing high-quality education and care for children and families in our region.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director to lead our service and work collaboratively with educators, families, and the Management Committee to ensure excellence in education, care, and operations.
This is a full‐time position, classified at Level 6.4 under the Children's Services Award.
About the Role
As Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the service while driving high-quality educational outcomes aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a community-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong educational and operational leadership aligned with the EYLF and NQF.
* Ensure compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and quality standards.
* Lead, support, and develop staff to deliver high‐quality outcomes.
* Manage budgets, finances, and administrative systems.
* Work collaboratively with families, the Management Committee, and external agencies.
* Lead assessment and rating processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Minimum Diploma of Children's Services or other Australian Children's Education and Care Authority (ACECQA) approved qualification.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
* Demonstrated experience in service leadership and staff management.
* Proven financial and administrative capability.
* Current and valid Department of Human Services Working with Children Check, Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training or Safe Environments for Children and Young People Training Certificate, and First Aid (HLTAID004) Certificate.
* Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Knowledge of CCS and QikKids.
* Experience leading assessment and rating processes.
