Detmold Group seeks a seasoned safety expert to develop and implement proactive safety strategies that drive real business results.
About the Role:
Design and lead the implementation of contemporary WHS systems that foster positive safety behaviors.
Benchmark and enhance governance frameworks aligned with corporate responsibility and compliance needs.
Define standards for hazard and risk management, particularly for complex high-risk issues.
Collaborate across teams to mature our safety culture and improve workplace performance.
Coach and mentor leaders to build H&S capability and embed safety leadership.
Oversee injury management, Workcover, and self-insurance compliance requirements.
Deliver robust assurance and reporting to meet due diligence obligations.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior WHS/IM role specialising in self-insurance. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Experience with behavioural-based safety and critical risk/control programs. Up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and self-insurance frameworks. A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
