About Our School
Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80 kms west of Brisbane. The College opened in January 2021 and continues to grow, enrolling a new cohort of students each year. Its Catholic identity is enriched through a Franciscan spirituality and a strong focus on 'integral ecology'. The school has a modern and collaborative learning environment, with access to state‐of‐the‐art facilities and ongoing professional development for teachers.

About The Opportunity
The School Officer (Admin Support – Integral Ecology Companion) supports students' ecological, spiritual, and pastoral development, contributing to the College's commitment to care for creation through Catholic faith and Franciscan spirituality, under the guidance of the Assistant Principal Integral Ecology and Faith (APIF).
In This Position You Will Be Responsible For
* Supporting students individually and in groups on their ecological journey.
* Contributing to the Religious Life of the College through ecological formation and participation.
* Liaising with the school, families, and community groups with discretion and sound judgement, particularly in relation to ecological and community engagement initiatives.
* Supporting and implementing projects that advance the vision of integral ecology across the College.
* Assisting with the planning and celebration of key ecological and religious events, including the Season of Creation, St Francis Feast Day, and Laudato Si' Week.
* Creating and maintaining visual displays that promote environmental awareness and celebrate the College's Franciscan identity and culture.
* Collaborating in the design, development, and facilitation of prayer, reflection, liturgical experiences, and programmes that connect faith with care for creation.
* Supporting opportunities for student involvement in ecological action and community engagement initiatives such as tree planting, wildlife conservation, recycling programmes, and environmental awareness campaigns.
* Providing administrative support to the school leadership team, including responding to enquiries, maintaining records and databases, managing stock and expendable stores, and ensuring effective filing and records management systems.
About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience, including:
* Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
* Providing general administrative support.
* Diary management and scheduling of activities and appointments at a senior level.
* Maintaining a variety of administrative systems.
* Responsibility for enquiries from a variety of stakeholders, supplying timely information in an engaging way.
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
