About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will play a critical role in driving the success and growth of our business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

* Managing day-to-day operations, including staff, pets, bookings, maintenance, and administration.
* Providing exceptional customer service through interactions, handling enquiries, and managing bookings.
* Ensuring a clean and safe environment for pets, meeting their individual needs, and giving them a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
* Leading, motivating, and coaching a high-performing team through teamwork, clear expectations, and consistent delivery of outstanding service.
* Overseeing the site when the Site Manager is unavailable, addressing any issues or concerns, and making informed decisions.
* Maintaining site-based social media pages showcasing our facility, engaging with customers, and attracting new bookings.
* Assisting with staff training and guidance, identifying areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback, and offering ongoing training opportunities.
* Identifying and raising any maintenance, repair, or inventory requirements to ensure a resourced, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and customers.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A willingness to learn and grow with our company.
* Previous experience leading a team of people, preferably in a pet care or related industry.
* Excellent communication skills and proven experience providing exceptional customer service.
* A passion for problem-solving and high attention to detail.
* Time management skills, a can-do attitude, and initiative to exceed outcomes and expectations at high quality.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure.
* Competent with computer systems, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
