Rental Housing Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough customer assessments to determine housing needs and develop effective solutions.
* Provide expert guidance and support to customers seeking rental assistance, education, and coaching.
* Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local real estate agents, service providers, and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
* Stay current on local rental market trends and available options to inform decision-making.
* Promote inter-agency collaboration and service improvement initiatives through active participation and leadership.
* Foster strong relationships within the broader housing and support systems for seamless referrals to supportive services.
* Lead and mentor Housing Officers in providing high-quality Rent Connect services, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices.
Leadership and Team Management:
* Provide visionary leadership, guidance, and support through coordinated activities such as workload management and planning.
* Cultivate a team culture that fosters open communication, collaboration, continuous improvement, positivity, safety, learning, and capability building.
* A valid driver's license is mandatory for this role.
Work Environment:
* This position operates primarily in a Housing Service Centre and occasionally in the field, requiring meetings with customers in their homes.
* Adaptability and awareness of personal safety are essential while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving outstanding results.
