Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
1. Assist with the management of the Tasmania Prison Service store and ensure the control of stock is within related instructions and Output policy and in accordance with Government procurement requirements.
2. Ensure the continued provision of store services to all prisoners and staff on a weekly basis.
3. Provide advice, guidance and training to store staff and allocated inmates (where applicable) on store procedures.
4. Supervision of inmate labour within the Prison Store.
5. Assist in the ongoing development and review of stores information and control systems.
6. Liaise with clients and suppliers regularly.
7. Processing, packaging, delivery and complaint resolution of inmate canteen orders.
8. Process internal requisitions and Government Purchase Orders.
9. Ensure the accuracy of cost allocation information and copies of Government Purchase Orders are available for accounts payable purposes.
10. Responsible for the receipt, checking, storage and rotation of goods that are delivered to the Prison Store.
11. Assist in the maintenance of the inventory control system to ensure goods received, stored and despatched are properly recorded and accounted for.
12. Assist in maintaining the computerised stock control systems for all items within the Prison Store, including the pricing adjustment of items as and when required.
13. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
