About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to join our team at Little Sunshine and Co. in Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of our thriving cafe. As Cafe Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving the continued success of our business.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing all cafe operations, including staff management, inventory control and financial reporting
* Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the cafe's operational efficiency and profitability
* Ensuring the highest standards of food and drink preparation, presentation, and customer service
* Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment for the cafe team
* Working closely with the kitchen staff to bring new menu ideas to life
* Monitoring industry trends and implementing innovative ideas to maintain the cafe's competitive edge
What we're looking for
* A minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar cafe or hospitality management role
* Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a memorable dining experience
* Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting, and cost control
* A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
* Ideally a minimum of 1+ years of experience in the gelato industry.
* 3+ years barista experience in a high volume specialty espresso bar
* food safety supervisor certificate
