About the role:
We are seeking an organised Finance Officer – Insurance to work on a fixed term full time basis until 30 June 2026. This position is responsible for the processing and management of insurance claims, including cost reconciliation, internal and external liaison with customers and insurance brokers, document management and claims reviews.
Key responsibilities:
The position assists the Manager Financial Services & Rates, Coordinator Financial Accounting, and the Senior Accountant – Payables, Grants and Insurance to:
* Coordinate of all the financial functions, processes and responsibilities that relate to Insurance which includes the yearly insurance renewal.
* Report to the Audit Committee in relation to all Insurance matters.
* Support input into the Mid-Year budget review and the Annual budget process.
* Support input into the Monthly financial report and Annual Financial Report and relevant notes.
* Provide assistance in all internal and external Audits.
* This position also will provide support to the Senior Accountant – Payables, Grants and Insurance in all areas of accounts payable and grants when needed.

The successful candidate will have the following:
* Demonstrated experience in Insurance Management
* Sound written and verbal communication skills and strong relationship management skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* A satisfactory National Police Certificate

The salary for this position will be from $72, $87,036.08 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
