Choo Choo Sushi Restaurant is looking for enthusiastic, personable, and service-driven **Wait Staff** to join our dynamic Front of House team. **Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring timely and correct service.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our menu, including specials and beverage offerings, and confidently make recommendations to guests.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables efficiently, ensuring presentation and orders meet standards.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, concerns, or complaints, escalating to management as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining and service areas throughout the shift.
- Assist in the setup and pack-down of dining areas before and after service.
- Process payments accurately via EFTPOS or cash, and handle receipts and tableside checkouts.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and consistent service delivery.
- Follow all workplace health and safety, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
**Selection Criteria / Requirements**
- Previous experience in a hospitality or waitstaff role (Japanese or Asian dining experience is highly desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as rostered.
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi, or sake (preferred but not essential).
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification (required for handling alcoholic beverages).
- Legal right to work in Australia.

Pay: $24.95 - $44.79 per hour
