CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex federal and infrastructure projects in Darwin. This is a senior, site-based leadership role with no FIFO requirement.
Please note: This role requires a strong background in new build vertical construction and build-phase delivery. Defence project experience is highly preferred. Candidates with predominantly civil infrastructure-only experience will not be suitable.
Responsibilities:
Act as Project Manager reporting directly to the Project Executive Lead end-to-end project delivery from start-up, design and engineering through to construction, commissioning, closeout, and warranty Maintain strong client relationships while protecting commercial and contractual interests Provide oversight of: Design activities (Designer of Record) Construction operations (Superintendent) Safety systems and compliance (Safety Manager) Quality assurance and control (QC Manager) Project scheduling (Scheduler) Project financials including AR/AP (Project Comptroller) Negotiate and execute subcontractor and supplier contracts and purchase orders Chair regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders Ensure all contractual, administrative, safety, and compliance requirements are met Identify and secure resources required for successful project delivery
Our Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management 10+ years’ total construction experience, including 5+ years as a Project Manager delivering $20M+ heavy civil infrastructure projects Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary project teams Strong commercial acumen across contracts, procurement, claims, and financial controls Strong contractor-side experience managing commercial, Defence, or government building projects Experience working in federal, defence, or similarly governed environments highly regarded Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong proficiency in MS Office, with Primavera P6 experience preferred Ability to successfully pass background and security checks
