We provide well connected and customer-focused public transport services safely, efficiently and sustainably.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Network Safety Investigator and Adviser to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Public Transport and Operational Safety you will be responsible for:Leading independent investigations into high severity incidents, either as an individual or in a team, in consultation with relevant internal or external stakeholders.Analysing safety data against Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.Leading the delivery of safety and risk functions, to assist in the achievement of Passenger Transport Services' objectives that comply with the Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012 (RSNL) and associated Regulations as well as the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.Providing supervisors, managers and Directors expert technical advice on Rail Safety and WHS related issues.Actively coach supervisors, managers and Directors on their responsibility for managing these Rail Safety and WHS issues.If you're interested in a career that really moves, we'd love to hear from you.Qualifications/ExperienceTertiary qualification in a safety related discipline is desirable.Qualification and/or similar experience in investigation practices and/or sound experience in ICAM lead investigations is highly regarded.Qualifications and/or similar experience in Safety, Lead Auditing, or other related disciplines will be highly regarded.A current driver's licence is essential.Special ConditionsA National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
