Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan.
- Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other.
- Schedule and coordinate other site staff with priority issues / tasks being identified and actioned.
- Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases.
- Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants.
- Report to the on a regular basis Construction Manager and advise of any current or potential issues.
- Create a paper trail for work completed and due to be completed.
- Experience delivering commercial projects is desirable.
- Relevant qualification in Building & Construction (or relevant experience).
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with site staff.
- Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship.
- Proven track record of finishing projects on time, with quality and within budget.
