About our client: Our Client is a well-established specialist contracting business delivering maintenance, repair and specialist services across commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects in Melbourne and New South Wales. About the role: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager & Accounts Receivable Officer for a permanent opportunity with our client. This is a key dual-function role reporting to the Finance Manager, responsible for managing the full payroll function and accounts receivable in a dynamic, multi-site contracting environment. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the end-to-end weekly payroll cycle, including timesheet processing and pay runs Maintaining annual leave liabilities, Long Service Leave (LSL) records, calculating prepayments and redundancy payments Handling payroll activities for apprentices and subcontractors Calculating and submitting WorkCover remuneration returns Organising accounts receivable activities, including following up with customers on outstanding payments Assisting with accounts payable tasks as required Supporting HR administration for new and current staff and subcontractors Ensuring full compliance with legislative obligations and company quality, safety and environmental procedures $100,000 to $110,000 annual salary superannuation Flexible working hours 1 day Work From Home opportunity About you: Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Officer role (construction/contracting industry experience highly regarded) Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, WorkCover, leave entitlements and related compliance Experience managing accounts receivable and customer collections Excellent attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to meet tight weekly deadlines under pressure Initiative to improve processes and procedures Professional, team-oriented communicator who can also work independently Australian work rights If you are a detail-oriented payroll professional looking for a varied and stable role, apply now!
