* As an Avionics Technician, you'll maintain a range of avionics equipment on aircraft. You'll specialise in the inspection, modification, repair, testing and maintenance of Army aircraft, engines, armament and safety and ancillary equipment.
* As an Electronic Systems Technician, you'll work in a team who are responsible for looking after some of the world's most technologically advanced equipment, where you'll handle and maintain a range of high-tech Army assets. Location:
Following your initial military training and initial employment training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in North QLD, South QLD, and the NT.
Salary:
Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $60,517 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you'll enjoy a package starting from $90,919 to $95,741 per annum depending on your role.
Eligibility:
For this role, you must:
* Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
* In addition to this:
* Telecommunications Technician requires passes in Science (preferably with a Physics component).
* Avionics Technician, Electronic Systems Technician and Marine Technician require passes in Science (preferably with a Physics component) and one other subject.
