About the role:
The Wash Bay Duty Manager reports to the Airport Manager and is responsible for the vehicle service operation. This includes the wash bay, shuttle drivers and valet staff. The key responsibility of this role to ensure that it functions effectively and efficiently to maximise profitability while maintaining the highest level of service.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and coach staff and foster a harmonious team environment
* Ensure that vehicles for rent meet company standards for cleanliness, mechanical/body condition and roadworthiness
* Ensure that returned vehicles are checked for body damage and report where necessary
* Ensure fuel deliveries are handled in accordance with company procedures and relevant health and safety procedures and legislation.
* Ensure adequate materials are maintained at all times to meet operating and safety requirements
* Participate in the interview and selection process for new staff
* Be flexible to work a seven-day rotating roster
* Preparation of staff rosters and processing of weekly payroll data
* Preparation of daily and weekly reports
* Have a working knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and promote a safe work environment at all times
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role with the ability to lead and effectively manage and coach employees is essential.
* Customer service focus and experience within a service or similar environment
* Strong sense of duty and responsibility.
* Confident with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
* Initiative, confident problem solving and decision making skills.
