Company This leading nutraceuticals business is currently looking to recruit a General Manager that will lead and develop the business strategy for a newly created nutraceuticals division and play a role across the broader product group. Key Responsibilities: This role will lead the creation across operations, sales, product and brand with a commercial focus and mindset. Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy, aligned with the company’s broader vision and growth objectives. Define the commercial, operational, and innovation roadmap from inception through to market launch and scaling. Build and maintain strategic partnerships, supplier relationships, and industry networks. Oversee end-to-end operations including supply chain setup, production planning, product formulation, quality assurance, and compliance with all relevant regulations (TGA, FSANZ, GMP, etc.). Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance management. Drive continuous improvement across operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Identify and prioritise product opportunities based on market trends, scientific innovation, and consumer needs. Work closely with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to deliver a robust product pipeline. Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches across local and international markets. Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing cross-functional team. Foster a culture of agility, accountability, innovation, and integrity. Build and shape the company’s values, structure, and leadership practices from the ground up. Ensure full compliance with applicable health, safety, quality, and industry standards. Stay up to date with changes in legislation and implement policies accordingly. Manage risk, crisis planning, and contingency development. Background and Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and post-grad would be an advantage. Experience: Minimum 10 years’ senior leadership experience in the nutraceuticals, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector. Proven experience leading a business or division from startup or greenfield through to commercial success. Strong track record in business strategy, commercial management, and product development. Strong marketing experience within the business to consumer sector including brand development Exceptional experience in sourcing – industry sourcing and knowledge Skills & Attributes : Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with operational discipline. Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks in the nutraceutical industry (FOA, EFSA, TGA, etc.). Commercially astute with a passion for health, wellness, and scientific innovation. Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to drive data led actions.
