The team
The Enterprise Services team consists of Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning, and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The team provides a range of support, advice and analysis services across ASIC.
The Finance team provides a range of financial support and analysis services to all of ASIC internal and external stakeholders. The Financial Operations and unclaimed Moneys team is responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation, treasury functions and unclaimed moneys.
The role
As an Unclaimed Money Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing and processing unclaimed money claims and payments in accordance with various legislations, including the Corporations Act 2001, Life Insurance Act 1995, Banking Act 1959, and the Public Governance, Performance & Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA). You will also handle unclaimed money lodgements and records, ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Utilising systems like Oracle Enterprise Taxation Management (ETM) and SharePoint, you will manage inquiries from the public and other bodies via phone and email, providing valuable assistance on unclaimed money matters.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will liaise and build rapport with other ASIC work areas and government agencies as needed. Your role will also involve actively participating in process improvement, team planning and your own performance management activities. This dynamic position offers a great opportunity to make a significant impact while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have a secondary education certificate or diploma, along with demonstrated experience in customer service and working effectively in a team environment. You will be confident in handling data entry using a range of software applications and able to follow procedures accurately and promptly.
Experience in understanding and applying legislation to assess matters is highly desirable. A background in financial services or banking is highly desirable, along with prior experience in assessing unclaimed money applications and responding to related enquiries.
