The Opportunity
The Senior Offensive Security Analyst is a hands‐on penetration tester/red teamer who can work within a small team to execute innovative penetration testing and offensive security exercises across a wide variety of technologies and large‐scale environments. Beyond this, you will support efforts to mature the offensive security team and its capabilities and a threat‐led security program designed to keep Vocus safe and secure.
This position has a unique opportunity in helping to build an internal offensive security department that lives within a tight knit security operations team that protects a large critical infrastructure enterprise.
The difference you will make
* Provide penetration testing and vulnerability validation services across web, API, network, cloud and AI based systems to improve the security posture.
* Growth of the offensive security capabilities from penetration testing services to fully fledged continuous red team exercises.
* Contribute to evolving the Exposure Management capabilities at Vocus through an attacker's lens and shaping the service.
* Provide a threat led perspective to building systems and architecture across a wide type of solutions with a variety of stakeholders.
* Influence the security posture of a large enterprise through offensive security services and ability to detect and respond to a threat.
What you'll bring to the role:
* 3-4 years of offensive security experience in penetration testing with a strong desire and aptitude to evolve a team and its capabilities to a continuous red teaming maturity level.
* Strong offensive toolset familiarity and its applicability
* Strong technical foundations in networking, web and operating systems
* Strong understanding of information security principles
* Ability to apply your offensive security skills to threat modelling architecture solutions
* Scripting and programming skills to aid in automation and innovative tool creation for testing technologies for weaknesses
What will set you apart
* Red teaming experience for large enterprise environments
* The ability to tell the story of a vulnerability—translating complex technical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
* Offensive security certifications such as the OSCP are desirable. We value certifications from reputable providers (Offsec, SANS, HTB, etc.) as a demonstration of your hands‐on skill.
* Strong team collaboration and relationship building skills for working effectively with technical and non‐technical stakeholders
* Tertiary education in cyber security or computer science degree
