The Woodman Group of Companies is a locally owned and operated business that has proudly served the Mackay region for over 70 years. Our diverse operations include Hardware & Trade retail, roofing product manufacturing, glass and aluminium windows and doors, paint retail, and the manufacture of timber and steel wall frames and trusses.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Hardware & Truss Manager to lead our busy operations based in Mackay.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing, stable local company and take ownership of an important part of our manufacturing and retail operations.
About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hardware retail and truss plant, coordinating workflow, and ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring orders are completed on schedule
* Communicating with staff, management and clients
* Implementing efficient work systems and processes
* Maintaining strong safety practices across the plant & store
* Supervising and supporting staff to achieve production and sales targets
