Fit-out & Refurbishment Specialist | ACRWORLD

My client is an established and highly respected commercial Fit Out head contractor. They have established a reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, medical, education & government D&C and Construct-only fit-out and refurbishment projects ranging from $1M - $10M+.

The Role

My client is seeking a Business Development Manager to help grow their business by exploring new opportunities and managing existing client relationships.

This role is crucial for achieving steady growth over the next 3 – 5 years.

The successful candidate will research new business opportunities, network, chase leads, strategize with the team, set up meetings, and handle marketing efforts.

The BD lead will target new clients within the commercial sector to diversify the business.

Applicants without direct fitout experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial construction or design and a proven track record of winning new business.

Duties & responsibilities:

1. Develop strategies to grow the business to its targets.
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities and manage existing relationships.
3. Coordinate bids or tenders and provide strategic guidance in structuring proposals.
4. Identify new clients and decision-makers within organizations.
5. Arrange meetings between decision-makers and company leadership.
6. Use persuasive and negotiation skills appropriately.

To be successful in this role:

1. Experience in Fitout & Refurbishment / Property / Design / Construction industries.
2. Articulate, approachable, and professional in representing the business.
3. Good connections with SPMs, QS, Architects, Government bodies, and relevant consultancies.
4. Proven success in identifying new business opportunities, marketing strategies, and proposal submissions.
5. Passionate, self-motivated, and proactive.
6. Values diversity, inclusion, and collaboration in the workplace.
7. Enjoys working in a dynamic team and culture.
8. Seeks career growth and development opportunities.
