Field Service Engineer – Control System

Partner with the best. A Field Service Engineer will play a vital field-based role, traveling to customer sites, both onshore and offshore, across the APAC region. You will provide specialist installation and maintenance support and perform hands‑on work individually and as part of a Field Service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all in‑field activities are carried out safely complying with quality, customers' and company HSE standards and procedures.
- Performing inspection, checks and testing of control systems and / or electrical systems used on Baker Hughes equipment during both installation and maintenance activities.
- Identifying issues, fault‑find and problem solve to ensure smooth and timely progression of the works.
- Involving in installations, commissioning and Start‑Up of turbomachinery, planned maintenance outages and unscheduled maintenance events.
What You’ll Need
- Have a focus on health, safety and the environment and be proactive in working within an interdependent HSE culture.
- Have a minimum 5 years of experience in machinery control system in the oil & gas, power generation or aviation industries.
- Have experience in machinery control system specifically in Mark VIe and/or Mark Vies control system family.
- Have significant experience of troubleshooting, maintenance, start‑up and commissioning of Gas Turbines Compressor and Gas Turbine Generator equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Able to travel throughout Australia and internationally, spending up to 70‑80% of the time at site.
- Have analytical and problem solving skills together with valuable interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Have proactive mindset towards process improvement, automation and interpersonal.
Work Flexibility

In this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites across the Asia‑Pacific Region in line with customer requirements. The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements.
