About the Automation Technician Role
This role involves hands-on problem-solving, working with technology and outdoors. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and supporting high-tech irrigation and water management systems.
* Hands-on troubleshooting & repairs – inspect, diagnose, and fix automation issues.
* High-tech maintenance – work with remote telemetry units, SCADA systems, radio telemetry, and instrumentation.
* Problem-solving on the go – tackle technical faults in the field and keep things running smoothly.
* Preventative maintenance – stay ahead of issues by keeping systems in top shape.
* Call-out roster participation – participate in a 24/7 rotating on-call team (including weekends and public holidays).
Key Responsibilities:
