About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Leading Hand to join our team at APS Drainage and Civil in Pakenham, Victoria. As a Leading Hand, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities on site, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing
* Supervising and directing the work of construction crews to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely
* Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
* Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of construction activities
* Providing on-site guidance and mentoring to less experienced workers
* Ensuring all construction activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to construction activities
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in the construction industry, preferably in civil or drainage projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges that arise on site
* Familiarity with construction project management software and documentation practices
* Relevant construction or trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Civil Construction, Diploma in Construction Management)
