The Company:
An established commercial builder with a 20-year track record is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to their Melbourne team. They are a highly respected name in the Victorian market, known for delivering high-stakes projects between $1M–$20M across the education, healthcare, and government sectors.
The Role:
This is a pivotal hire to lead a ~$10M project in Melbourne's inner west. You will be responsible for the full project life cycle, from early-stage planning through to final handover. This role requires a sophisticated operator who excels in live environments, balancing the technical demands of a build with the nuances of high-level stakeholder management.
You will be managing a high performing team of 6.
Core Responsibilities
* End-to-End Delivery: Driving the project through every phase to ensure successful handover.
* Live Site Management: Maintaining operational continuity for the client with minimal disruption.
* Financial & Program Control: Managing all reporting, cost control, and programming to hit key milestones.
* Leadership: Overseeing site teams and subcontractors while upholding rigorous safety and quality standards.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities.
Who You Are:
We are looking for a professional who views construction through a strategic lens. You should have:
* A proven track record as a Project Manager within the Australian commercial sector.
* Specific expertise in operational/live environments—this is essential for the current pipeline.
* Live environment project experience is required.
* Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of contracts and cost management.
* The ability to lead collaborative, high-performing teams.
