**What you'll be doing in this role**
As a Carer, you'll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Provide quality, timely and effective services within cleaning 
- Promote the rights and privacy of our clients, in accordance with relevant policy and legislation 
- Work for the continuous improvement of our service to ensure it's the best it can be, in line with Aged Care Accreditation Standards 
- Queries and complaints from our clients and their families, as well as your co-workers and other service providers, that come your way, will be handled with a confidential and timely approach, in collaboration with your supervisor 
- While providing effective and timely hotel services, you'll treat our clients with respect and recognize their abilities, preferences and decision-making capacity.
**Who we're looking for** 
- Ideally, you'll have a Certificate 2 in Hospitality, Aged Care or working towards or an equivalent qualification. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you get there. 
- You'll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you're studying or have recently become qualified. 
- You'll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
