Sous Chef Oxenford Tavern
The Oxenford Tavern is seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to play a crucial leadership role in our fast‑paced kitchen. You will be the second‑in‑command, supporting the Head Chef in managing day‑to‑day operations, maintaining high standards, and motivating the kitchen team.
Responsibilities
* Key part of the leadership team – support the Head Chef to ensure every service is flawless.
* Take charge of shifts, mentor the team and keep kitchen standards razor‑sharp.
* Inspire your crew with expertise and a can‑do attitude, ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is a work of art.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting (e.g., moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Must be able to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
* Solid experience as a Sous Chef in a high‑volume pub or similar setting.
* Up‑to‑date cooking credentials and food safety certifications.
* Natural‑born leader who commands respect with skills and a cool‑headed approach.
* Serious love for creating delicious food that keeps people coming back for more.
