We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team in a part‐time (0.2 FTE), ongoing role, commencing as soon as possible. In this role, you will maintain and enhance the College's grounds, buildings, and facilities to the highest standards of safety, presentation, and functionality, ensuring a clean, well‐kept environment that supports teaching, learning, and the College's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Professionally represent the school through presentation, conduct, and service, always maintaining a high standard.
* Demonstrate commitment to identifying and minimising safety and health risks.
* Perform general maintenance and handyman tasks across grounds, buildings, and equipment.
* Carry out routine cleaning duties, including litter collection and emptying bins.
* Maintain safe, clean, and organised work areas, including workshop and tools, and assist in the upkeep of grounds and facilities.
* Complete additional duties as directed by the Property and Service Manager.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church.
* Lives in alignment with SCEA's Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and Educational Objectives.
* Self‐motivated, hardworking, and able to manage workload effectively.
* Strong team player who follows direction and shows initiative when appropriate.
* Possesses relevant skills and holds (or is willing to obtain) required licences (minimum Class C).
* Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and capable of responding to urgent issues.
* Physically capable and committed to maintaining a safe, supportive school environment.
* Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and Department of Education Criminal History Clearance.
