Overview
As a Peer Volunteer, your presence ensures that every young person who walks through the door feels seen, safe, and celebrated. Your duties will involve:
* Facilitating Connection: Leading healthy, inclusive discussions and coordinating fun, engaging activities.
* Creating Safety: Supporting staff to maintain a welcoming environment during Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening shifts.
* Community Outreach Opportunities: Stepping beyond the centre to assist with exciting special events and art-based workshops.
The Impact
By committing just one evening a week, you become a living example of the different ways to show up as an LGBTIQA+ adult. Your mentorship provides more than just a "safe space", it provides belonging. You are helping to build the confidence and resilience of the next generation, ensuring that no young person has to navigate their identity alone.
