THE COMPANY
The HMA Group is an international engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the supply of; wear resistant lining solutions, material handling equipment, boiler cleaning equipment and services, process instrumentation and valve solutions. Our wide range of equipment and services are used across all industries including mining, power generation, industrial, petrochemical, oil and gas, process, water and wastewater.
We are seeking a motivated individual for a Project Manager\Coordinator role at HMA Wear Solutions workshop in Berkeley Vale. HMA Wear Solutions are recognised as a market leader in this field and have been supplying and manufacturing specialised ceramic wear resistant linings and systems in Australia for over 40 years.
THE ROLE
Based at our NSW branch in Berkeley Vale and reporting to the Operations Manager you will assist in undertaking the following:
* Manage project from approval through fabrication and delivery ensuring smooth execution to deliver on time and within budget
* Procure materials and negotiate supplier pricing to maximise value
* Manage client communication, progress updates, and expectations
* Manage variations and progress claims
* Support estimating with supplier pricing, lead times and product input
* Assist manufacturing team with materials, sequencing, and problem solving
* Drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement across projects
* Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
* Coordinate the Production Planning Team to ensure planning is delivered in line with the company's priority schedules
* Working with and reporting to the Operations Manager and Workshop Production Managers to ensure all delivery schedules and lead times are maintained to ensure client expectations are met.
* Using the company ERP/CRM to input labour, materials, control stock.
* Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, stores, accounts and management
* Checking of drawings and manufacturing check-sheets to assist with manufacturing issues.
* Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
* Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
* Compiling MDR’s and ITP’s
ABOUT YOU
To be successful candidates will have the following skills and attributes:
* Experience managing projects in fabrication, construction or a trade-based environment
* Strong understanding of procurement, supplier negotiation and cost control
* Confident communicator who can manage suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders
* Production planning and quality control principles
* Experience in leading small teams
* Ability to read and understand drawings
* Sound written and oral communication skills.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong workshop history with leadership skills. We are looking for someone who is \"hands on\", can think for themselves and have the drive to get the task completed on time.
