We work predominately in the Industrial & Agricultural sectors and supply a number of high profile OEMs with our products and services. We are also manufacturers in our own right producing leading edge machinery & systems.
Located in Mornington Victoria we are a small family run business with great ambition and direction.
What we are looking for
With new large-scale machinery projects on stream in the coming months, we have an opportunity for an apprentice to join our team and learn the principles of solid engineering and the part hydraulics play. The Apprentice will be fully supported by our Head of Engineering and their tasks will include, but not be limited to:
* Preparation of hydraulic hoses and hose kits for production and dispatch
* Working with members of the admin team to understand and manage the goods in and out processes and procedures
* Documentation of all work flows and workshop builds
* Organisation of inventory and updating of company systems
* Off site visits to learn installation & trouble shooting techniques
* Learn to fit out our flagship products from initial frame to finished product
* Keep the workshop organised and tidy at all times
* Learn all aspects of hydraulics and gain a solid understanding what every component is & where typically it might be used.
* Assembly of motors, pumps, bell housings etc as part of sub assembly functions required for a number of products
* Construction of hydraulic power units for external jobs
Who we are looking for
The person we are looking for needs to be a good fit with the company as undertaking a 4 year apprenticeship requires concentration, hard work & commitment. To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate that you:
* Minimum Year 11 schooling
* Have minimum of provisional drivers licence and reliable transport
* Have a genuine interest in all things mechanical
* Can handle and use basic power & non power tools
* Are willing to learn new skills
* Have an organised mind and deal with fine detail well
* Computer skills (Microsoft office)
* Can learn quickly
* 'Can do' attitude with a willingness to exceed expectations
* Have done part/full time work previously
* Are fit enough to stand for long periods of time
* Must be an Australian Citizen or have right to work in this country
