We're seeking a reliable, safety‐conscious First‐Class Machinist to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to work on a variety of conventional and machine centre equipment.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate conventional lathes and machine centres to manufacture components to engineering drawings.
* Read, interpret and manufacture to engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial units.
* Complete work orders and accurately log time against tasks.
* Troubleshoot machining and setup issues; apply strong problem solving and mechanical aptitude.
* Liaise with team leaders to order and manage tooling requirements.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area and follow all safety procedures.
* Be available for overtime as required.
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
* Demonstrated experience using conventional lathes and machine centres.
* Ability to read and manufacture to engineering drawings (Metric & Imperial).
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Current driver's licence.
* Reliable, safety focused and committed to high quality workmanship.
Experience & Licences
* Minimum 3 years post trade machining experience – indicate exact years.
* Forklift licence desirable; indicate if you hold one.
